“Uno” Self Profile

Richard Swainson gained the first doctorate in Film Studies at the University of Waikato and has a forty thousand dollar student loan to prove it.  He has forgone the elusive charms of the academic lifestyle in favour of a career in DVD rental, spending twelve hour days manning the counter at Auteur House, an independent store which specialises in quality cinema and niche market books.  In his spare time he dreams of being a film critic, dabbling in both broadcast and print media.
